To The One Who Knows

Somewhere between the past and present,

There is a secret that only you know

By day it haunts me,

By night is plagues me

Beyond a thousand questions

There is no answer

And still, a crossroad of sorts

A choice to be made

Searching for meaning,

Searching for truth

A despair that sickens my core

And rottens my teeth

To the one who knows,

This is yours to bare

You spoke this to existence

You sang to it softly

Father time is wise

Mother Nature is true

And what of the child,

So pure and clean

To the one who knows,

We dare not say
